1) Estado De Sitio, a punk rock band was formed in 2000 in Lima, Peru, when three school friends, Joaquin Cuneo, Marcel Caillaux and Sebastian Isla gather to play music, specially covers of bands they liked, such as Green Day, Nofx, among others. Sharing all three the same passion for music and tired of playing songs by other groups they decide to try to compose their own music and lyrics. It is here that in 2001 the band give the name of Estado de Sitio (State of Siege) and released 500 copies of their first demo entitled Caigo Contigo (I Fall With You). This allowed them to play in different local bars and venues of the city of Lima, such as the classic Florentino, La Estación, among others. In Miraflores Bowling, Estado de Sitio wins first place, in a contest organizad by a “Planet Radio” and Sprite (2002). After this, the band goes through a stage of wanting to take things more seriously. It is here, when by a twist of fate our beloved Sebastian is forced to leave the band. Thus began a long period of 2 years in which Marcel and Joaquin were dedicated to writing songs and looking for the indicated drummer.

In mid-2004 Sergio Bringas, who placed in another band, arrived to the scene.. After some trials, it was obvious the connection was between 3 and so that Estado de Sitio prepared to go out and play after a long time, with more experience, new ideas and above all, a lot of stored energy. That same year they recorded an EP that was never released called “La Miel De Las Abejas (The Honey Of The Bee’s). In 2006, the band begins recording a new EP called “Que Suenen Las Alarmas!" (Ringing The Alarms), which ends this summer, but by another twist of fate, was not released until mid-2007. Then again, the band starts to apear in the different venues of the city, and when everything was going well, Sergio had to leave suddenly. This time was different, the band did not stop to rest. They immediately contacted Manolo Ruiz, drummer of another local band, which they knew from some years ago. Manolo, connected more rapidly than expected to the band, no problem adapting to the sound that characterizes Estado de Sitio: melodic voice lines together with alot of energy and speed.

With this new formation, throughout the whole of 2008, the band presented their EP on many stages in Lima and made his debut in provinces. They also joined the Double Nine Radio programming. One of the most important concerts of this year was when they placed with the recognized American band "New Found Glory." In parallel to the concerts began the composition of what would be the new album, whose demo was recorded in the middle of this year. It is at this stage that the band began working with producer Ricardo Méndez looking to improve the quality of their sound. In January 2009 began the recordings of the first official album, titled "En El Fondo” (In The Bottom). In this process, recognized peruvian musicians such as Jean Pierre Magnet, Ricardo Mendez and Mauricio Llona, participated. Here, Sergio Bringas, who saw that his seet was already taken, joined the band opening a new position. From now on he would take care of the lead guitar. With a new lineup for the first time of 4, the band continues with live performances and recording the new album.

After 6 months of recording, mixing and hard work, the record was sent to USA for mastering. It was mastered in Blasting Rooms Studios, where recognized bands such as NOFX, No Use For a Name, The Ataris, among others, have also worked. In late 2009, En El Fondo goes on sale in the best record stores, accompanied by two video clips that were recorded this year too, and other surprises.

Currently, the band is ready to present the new album to the world and specially…having a great time.
