Juffbass is a Hungarian musician from Debrecen. He was born in 1993 and got his first bass when he was 15, following four years later he created his first YouTube channel, uploading bass covers of his favorite bands and songs with the purpose of teaching others how to play, creating a small community of people who share his passion for bass and music.

In 2017, he took his abilities further, discovering his talent more and it lead to the creation of his first instrumental bass album “Moments With Birds” with his original tracks and tunes. Released on 22nd of May 2018.

Following was the album Evenings On A Balcony (2018), which the artist has spoken about in his Bandcamp page stating “My main purpose behind these songs when I wrote them was to make my songs a little bit easier to listen to or a little bit faster while they still have the calming atmosphere. I wrote all of them during the summer and every night I listened to the demos on my balcony countless times because I wanted to make sure that they are not boring or bad. That’s why I named this record "Evenings On a Balcony”. I made a lot of memories on these nights.”

Soon followed Hiraeth (2020), Farewell Flight (2021), with the albums getting better in production, less calming and more enthusiastic in means of beats and sounds, and more music-writing methods tried as time passed by.

“Monolith” was the first album Juffbass made entirely guitar-based, he announced it in his Discord Server and other social media on his birthday, in which he confirmed “The songs are more complex, less repetitive and more calming to listen to. Bass has inspired me creatively but discovering the guitar neck has brought new creative ideas to me.”.
It was released for listeners on the 26th of April, 2022.

"Even though Juffbass has added electric guitars to the mix in this record, this collection of tunes still feels light and easy to listen to. The careful composition and unique mixing make Monolith a distinctive collection. Fans of big, light-dappled, splashy post-rock will find lots to love here, while also being treated to a novel sonic perspective. Highly recommended." - Independent Clauses music blog

On May 31th, Juffbass achieved 20K listens on Spotify, and two months later he announced the next album “Emptiness Reigns”. When asked about what makes his new album special from the previous works, he answered with the following.

“Emptiness Reigns for me is different from my previous releases, because I was more patient with this album, during songwriting. When I made my past albums I never threw out songs from the album, I released every song I wrote during the making of those albums, meanwhile for Emptiness Reigns I made more tracks (15), because of it this album took much longer to make. Also the instrumentation is a big difference between this album and my previous albums, it's my first album where I truly think that the songs have complete instrumentation with at least 5-6 instruments in every song.”

With more creativity still in store, he had to explore further into his abilities. Adding choir, strings, and new unfamiliar bass techniques, on October 18th, 2024, Hverfa was released.
Consisting of 10 tracks, this album proved how JuffBass can make a track both strong and emotional. It's his richest album and his fullest sound to date. Clear evidence that he "poured a piece of myself into every single one." Read more on Last.fm.
