Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia is one of the most renowned and respected classical musicians in India. He plays the bamboo or bansuri flute in the Hindustani tradition. Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia has tremendous technical skill and is also a great innovator, playing deeply emotionally evocative music that is arguably the most accessible of classical Indian music.

He has collaborated with santoor great Shivkumar Sharma, ghatam player Vikku Vinayakram, and fusion jazz guitarist John McLaughlin among others. Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia has featured regularly at major festivals and performed to audiences throughout the world. He is also the recipient of several prestigious music awards.
