Good Son are a three man recording project from Scotland, UK formed in early 2013. The band was started by Guitarist/Bassist/vocalist Andy Kennedy and Drummer Al Strachan after they played in various bands together over a ten year period but failed to find the sound they sought.
Disillusioned, Andy Kennedy gave up on music for a few years before reconnecting with Al in 2013 and deciding to start up Good Son. They recruited the help of their old friend, and ex band-mate, Andy Jay, for Lead guitar duties and set about building a studio in Andy Kennedy`s home to record an album with the sound they had envisioned years before.
With a strong leaning towards the Seattle sound of the 90`s (Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Pearl jam etc.) mixed in with the combined eclectic tastes of the three members, the album "Ceramic Eyes" was completed in December 2013 on a budget of £500 and with all duties ( writing, recording, mixing and promoting) taken on by the band themselves.
The Album was released in early January 2014 in all popular on-line stores.
