Airwaves (AKA Air Waves) evolved form the solo work of Nicole Schneit who as been performing for over eight years. Nicole has shared the stage with many exceptional artists such as: Cat Power, Jana Hunter, Tracy and the Plastics, the Rapture, Dan Deacon, Langhorne Slim & Magnolia Electric Co.

Airwaves was also a late-70's project by John David, with Dave Charles and Ray Martinez. The trio released the album "New Day" on A&M records in 1978.'

Airwaves is the alias of Oscar Menzel (Mexico, 1963), an ambient electronic music producer. Inspired by the berlin-school ambient music movement, Menzel published two albums through the mexican catch-all label Opción Sónica and two posthumous albums through Carpe Sonum, a Pete Namlook-inspired CD and netlable.
