This Fast began as a side project for Houston, Texas based PawnShop Mafia's bassist, Will Baxter, in January 2007. It turned out that This Fast was a better and more popular band than PawnShop Mafia ever was.

PawnShop Mafia was scheduled to play a show at Super Happy Fun Land but could not make it. Will asked Nathan Miller, a friend, to play lead guitar while PawnShop Mafia guiarist Swami Reyes play rhythm guitar. Will then asked Dylan Jamail, Will's friend Justice Jamail's brother, to play drums. Dylan agreed immediately. They played an improv show and it was a big hit. The following day they decided to practice and, at that practice, it became evident that this was going to be a great band. Playing more and more shows got former PawnShop Mafia singer Andrew Kelleher intersted. Andrew asked to sing for the band and This Fast brought him on. The final line-up of This Fast is Andrew Kelleher, Will Baxter, Swami Reyes, Nathan Miller, and Dylan Jamail.

This Fast has played many shows at Super Happy Fun Land and the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. They are in postproduction of their album, Hellacopetera, which will be release sometime in December 2007. Read more on Last.fm.
