Weather Maps is an indie rock band from Minneapolis, MN led by songwriter/producer Jimmy Stofer. The band was started in early 2010, and has two LP releases to date: Places (2010) and Painted Stripes (2014). Their sound is a mix of raw, rugged sounds paired with experimental, modern electronic elements, all while delivering catching melodies and hooks. Stofer is also known for his work as a bassist, having toured/recorded with such acts as Rose Hill Drive, The Fray, Ryan Bingham, Scars On 45, Cary Brothers, Flobots, and many more. In addition to being a bassist, Stofer is also a songwriter/producer, having writing hundreds of songs for film and television, and also two full length albums under the Weather Maps moniker. Weather Maps has been featured on the TV shows Revenge (ABC), The Lizzie Borden Chronicles (Lifetime), Necessary Roughness (USA Network), and Unlocking The Truth (MTV), as well as commercials by Nike, Guinness, and Yeti.
