Theody is a Christian rock band based out of Northwest Arkansas. It started as a solo project by the band’s founder, Lauren Kinder, under the name “Lauren Elizabeth.” After booking her first solo performance at the Rock the River festival, she asked local musicians Adam Dizer, Keegan Ware, and Zach Harrod to lay down a track for her to sing with. However, the group immediately hit it off and decided to perform live together. After the concert, Lauren was booked for more performances and asked the others to stay on with her. Eventually, the solo project transformed into a band and the group selected the name “Theody” (a hymn of praise to God), adding Lauren’s husband, Charles Kinder, as the bass player. As the band started booking more shows, Zane Harrod (brother to Zach) replaced Keegan as the drummer. Theody is now playing regularly and has just finished recording their first album which will be released sometime in the upcoming months.
