A Hundred Years is a supreme trio of psychedelic badlands grunge. When Jeremiah Simmons, Kris Blakewitz, and Patrick Gibson gather to kick out the jams a certain chemistry is achieved when chakras align and theta waves erupt almost violently. Songwriter Jeremiah Simmons started writing songs in a punk garage band named Sunshine Enema after getting released from the oldest penitentiary in North America under false charges. Angry at the world and full of angst, he battled his demons and let his soul shine through mastering the guitar. Thus saving his life.
After Sunshine Enema broke up, an answered ad on Kijiji led to a friendship between Kris and Jeremiah and the two began to write stoner rock music everyday. A few months later, Patrick Gibson joined the duo creating a powerful force to be reckoned with. In less than a year, A Hundred Years played over 40 shows honing in on their skills and gaining a respectful following.
Grunge, noise, desert rock, and experimental are about as close words that you could use to describe their dreamy riffs and heavy muff tones. They draw influences from the music movement in the early 90's such as Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Screaming Trees, Tool, and Nine Inch Nails. All self taught musicians with eclectic taste produces a style that is fresh to the ears and groovy to your hips.
The things that makes A Hundred Years so excited is the connection between the fans and the music. Audience members of their live performances drive the energy hard to the swirling riffs and intricate percussion. One of the hardest working bands in Canada, you can be sure to see them playing all over their local city at premier venues such as The Starlite Room who spawned artists such as Green Day and Nirvana.

Kris and Jeremiah were lucky enough to focus full time on music in 2012 by becoming self employed. Jeremiah Simmons is on his way to becoming a master glassblower while Kris earns his living polishing and distributing crystals and precious stones. Patrick balances work as sales representative and bass duties for A Hundred Years. All of their passions provides the fuel for living life to the fullest.
