1. Founded in early 2006, Absurdist is a musical perpetuum mobile whose spiritual home lies in Hämeenkyrö, Finland. During its existence, Absurdist has tried to earn its spurs by releasing a few self-released albums and by playing an ever-growing number of shows, but has not yet been on the lips of mainstream music journalists or eager teenage fan girls. The band is closely involved with Suomu Records, a local huddle of experimental musicians within the Hämeenkyrö region, and is one of the head curators of Paskarok! festival happenings.
