There are two bands using the same monicker:

1)dRAWBACKS; dBs to their friends, started life on the London breaks scene in the late 90's. The Brothers R were either recording, in A&R meetings, or getting slick at 333 Old Street and Friction, bumping into the likes of Orbital, Freq Nasty, Rennie Pilgrem, Adam Freeland and Dave Tipper, whilst lamenting the fate of those who are poorly managed, with A&M A&R legend Johnny Matthews. D & TJ were signed to Bolshi/Big Life sometime during this purple-hazy period as Hijinx. After a lengthy recovery spell at the Abbey, dBs decamped to their studio 'Controlled Environment' and dipped into the murky waters of synchronisation (composition to picture), pumping out a score of bloody remixes and EPs and licensing music to anyone who could afford them and who didn't have a track record of killing people (directly) in the third world. Prime dBs cuts have graced the screen hundreds of times for the likes of Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox, CBS, The Sopranos, CSI Miami, DC Comics and BMW to mention but a few.

Oct 2001 saw the brothers hook up with tech punk legends Pitchshifter in New Jersey to lay the breaks on their 'PSI' album. Following this righteous conflagration, Dan was asked to join Pitchshifter, shortly followed by TJ.

dBs leave the studio on occasion to work with other enlightened souls (including drummer Alex Baker - introduced to dBs by Prodigy trapsman Keiron Pepper and MC ADD from the amazing Transformer de Roboter) interspersed with occasional DJ sets. 2007 sees dBs pushing their techy-glitchy-dark electro-punk to even dizzier heights with cuts like Puke it Out and NFA showcasing their unparalleled programming talents and gaining mass acclaim. WORD!

2)Drawbacks is founded back in 1996 by two cousins : Boba - guitars, vocals and Misha - drums. The whole idea behind it was to play old dirty hardcore/punk our favorite bands used to play, for example the Misfits, Discharge, Agnostic Front, Sick Of It All, Suicidal Tendencies, Varukers, Murphy's Law etc...After several line-up changes, and couple of self-released demos, band is recording the first album in the spring of 2000,which is released in 2001 on MC by Rock Express Records. B- side of the tape is the "best of" compilation of the songs from early demos.

Very soon after the album came out, the lead singer Pop is leaving the band. Although Drawbacks never had exact hc/punk sound, we always had our own approach to that music, after Pop's departure, the sound have changed totally! You can say it is a mix of metal/core and something that sounds like jazz/rock/etno?!!! Some say we've got ourselves a problem with that "artistic" attitude, they say some people can't dig that music...We never cared,It's always been like this - some people really like us/some really dislike us, nothing in between...

We started working on the new album in 2002. but various personal things and problems slowed us down, so we entered the studio in 2004, and finished recording in 2007. In the meantime in remembrance of those good old days and songs(some still have been played live), band released the CD "First Five Years In The Pit", in 2006,again under the flag of Rock Express Records. The CD is almost 65 minutes long, contains the whole "Look At The Score" album(A side of the tape), bunch of live shots from various shows, couple of unreleased demos and two totally new songs, recorded right after Pop's departure with the band, In 2002...

Throughout the years Drawbacks played hundreds of shows and shared stage with bunch of cool bands, for example: L.U.R., Hitman, Eyesburn, Smut(Macedonia), Tibia, 100 Demons(USA), Debeli Precjednik(Croatia), 357, Discord, Ground Zero, Full Size, Riblja Chorba, Last Hope(Bulgaria), Gangbangers, Space Eater, Face It, Thimble, POAL, T-Error, KBO!... You can say we really had fun, and we still rocking it!!! New album "Sacrosanctic" came out in June 20008. Again, it..s a mix of metal, rock, jazz and hardcore, beautifully packed in 8 songs of pure hatred and sorrow!!! New CD is out on Flying Buffallo records, please check it out and support the Serbian underground!!! Read more on Last.fm.
