Self-defined Afrodelic trip-rockers The Digital Wild, have a sound as diverse as the growing melting pot of an audience they attract. Critics have categorized the group as everything from indie rock, and trip-hop, to shoe-gaze, and power-soul. The band hails from Austin, TX and formed in late 2012. Although still fresh out the gate, TDW has already released a debut LP titled, "Into." Which was produced by The Black Angels' frontman Alex Maas and production partner Brett Orrison. Other strides include an endorsement with Red Bull's Sound Select Program, Regular rotation on Austin radio station KUTX, KUTX's song of the day, an upcoming main stage performance at Soundcheck Festival 2014, four SXSW 2014 showcases, a two page spread in Drake Magazine, national rotation for their single, "Riskin" on all NPR affiliated stations, and a full US tour coming in late Spring. The Digital Wild is a powerhouse on stage! A band of live instruments accompanies sequenced beats, male and female harmonizing vocals, and an Emcee who is also a multi-instrumentalist. Adding to the visualization on stage, dancers create a hybrid of modern, hip hop, and tribal that accentuates the larger than life and soaring signature sound the group has quickly become known for. Comparisons to such prolific acts as Massive Attack, Gorillaz, The Fugees, and Bjork begs the question, "Is The Digital Wild one of those few acts that truly has a sound all their own?"
