Cœur is a multi-genre solo project from multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, Levi Miah from Essex, UK.
Initially exploring post-metal, the debut Cœur album, 'Horizons' was released in 2016 after 7 years of work and following 2 soundtracks - 'Dr. Grinspoon…' and 'Bloom' - created for art films. The large, atmospheric soundscapes of 'Horizons' became the framework for later releases, which build on the electronic, drone and classical aspects laid out already.
Becoming more involved in soundtrack work, the end of 2017 brought, 'Prequel', which heavily explored the electronic side of Cœur's sound, combined with influences from 70s and 80s film soundtracks ranging from 'Deep Red' to 'Scarface'.
With the release of 'Retriever' in 2018, Cœur continued to diversify, branching into a bass-driven, grimier, urban influence that's at times both punishing and beautiful. Shortly following 'Retriever', the third album, 'Trinity', was announced for release, a three-part concept album of religious themed faux-film soundtracks - a horror, a thriller and a sci-fi - combined into one release.
Following this, Cœur moved heavily into film music, composing for the feature horror film 'I Scream on the Beach!' and winning awards at international festivals including popular genre film magazine, Starburst Magazine. His concept album 'The Dodecalogy' a 12-album project following the journey of a planet before, during and after terrestrial life and continues to be released alongside other film music projects.
