Colin Nisbett born 28th June 1974 better known as Rolaz. Born to a Jamaican mother and a Nevisian father in St. Mary's Hospital, Manchester. Rolaz is one third of the group Raiders Of Lost ArtZ and is a producer, DJ and sometimes MC. Other current members included MC Bebbs and JonBoda all residing in Manchester, UK. Rolaz a turntablist, music producer also is known for TV presentation on a new music docu/zine show called Elek Tronique.TV
Rolaz started DJing around 1991 playing early rave music in and around Manchester. Rolaz soon entered many DJ tournaments including DMC. In 2000 Rolaz and an old friend DJ 3Sixty, DJ Kudos and DJ Code Red formed a 4 man DJ team called Raiders Of Lost ArtZ reaching DMC's UK Team Finals in London 2001.
The group soon split after that 2001, leaving Rolaz to concentrate on production and touring with electronica/rock band "The Makers" Rolaz started producing his own material and released 2 tracks in 2007 "More" being a Drum and Bass track released on Ocean Drive Records, Fl, USA, quickly followed by CFR's "Pussy in the Booth - Rolaz Remix" A Hip Hop remix which saw great acclaim being released state side in Milwaukee that same year.
Rolaz then focused on a radio, landing a prime-time slot playing main stream music, hosting events and conducting major interviews on WFM97.2fm Manchester. Moving on to host his own specialist radio show on Saturdays 4-6pm playing his own and many other artists material from hip hop emcees to acoustic bands, to the more underground music. Rolaz stayed with WFM97.2fm for over 2 and half years only giving up his slot for TV presenting on Elek Tronique.TV.
www.Elektronique.TV is a brand new music docu/zine interviewing the biggest and newest names in D&B, Jungle, Dubstep, Tech House, House and Electro House. Rolaz interviews the Jungle, D&B and dubstep DJ's and producers occasionally interviewing Tech house DJ's and producers such as Technasia and rising Tech House producer and DJ, Joris Voorn for example. Rolaz has interviewed many urban music artists such as Andy C, MC GQ, N-Type, Noisia, RatPack, Lemon D, Danny Byrd, Nicky Black Market, Ray Keith, Kenny Ken, Utah Saints, Micky Finn, Aphrodite, Caspa, Rod Azlan, Skream, the list goes on and on.
