After Dan and Mark’s old band Calcutta decided to call it quits in Summer 2009 they knew that they wanted to move forward with another project as soon as possible. After rounding up a drummer they decided to take a different approach to writing. Instead of playing metal and hardcore which they both had been doing for years they decided to go back to their roots and start a band that was influenced by punk, After months of pre production they headed into MGW Audio in Falmouth, MA to record the “Ordeals” EP. The EP was released 1.15.11. Currently Ghost Year is writing new material and building up our set list and preparing for shows. In 2011 they hope to put out another album and play as many shows as possible.
