Pascale Rouet, born in 1961, is a French organist, organ teacher and concert performer.

Biography:
After completing her first musical studies at the ENMD of Charleville-Mézières and the Conservatoire de Reims, she entered the CNSM of Paris where she obtained many first prizes in the classes of organ, improvisation (R. Falcinelli), harmony (R. Boutry), counterpoint (J.P. Holstein), fugue (M. Bitsch) and orchestration (S. Nigg). She then worked with André Isoir, Jean-Pierre Leguay, Bernard Foccroulle and Yannick Le Gaillard. In 1986 she won first prize at the Toulouse International Organ Competition dedicated to contemporary music.

Holder of the CA, she teaches organ at the Conservatoire à rayonnement départemental de Charleville-Mézières since 1988 and at the Summer Academy of Organs in Cornwall since 2006.

From 1991 to 2011, she was co-titular of the Formentelli organ in Mouzon.

She has made about twenty recordings ranging from early music to contemporary music. Dedicator and creator of numerous scores (J.P. Leguay, L. Rogg, B. Mather, B. Mernier, R. Campo, G. Garcin, A. Girard, J.-Cl. Henry, J. Pichard, Th. Pallesco, D. Mercureanu, Ch. Marchand, J.L. Etienne, A. Mabit, R. Maillard, M. Boedec), she is passionate about contemporary music that she tries to make better known and appreciated: concerts, recordings, editions of scores, analyses, interviews, articles in various journals, conferences, musicological works. She regularly participates in various conferences and is a member of numerous international juries.

She was editor-in-chief of the magazine Orgues Nouvelles from 2009 to 2016, then again since 2018. She is also the author of books and articles devoted to various subjects such as outstanding personalities of the organ (interviews with Michael Radulescu, Lionel Rogg, André Isoir) and organ teaching.

Pedagogical commitment to contemporary music:
Convinced that interest in the music of our time depends on contact with it from the first years of study, Pascale Rouet develops a pedagogical activity at the CRD of Charleville-Mézières aimed at expanding the repertoire for young children. Close collaboration with different composers has given rise to a series of works for young organists, allowing them a technical but also theoretical, and sometimes instinctive approach to current musical languages.
