Samuel 'Sam' Dallaire Thibault, known better as 'AXIMETRIK', is predominantly a psytrance artist from Québec, Canada, although his 2014 - 2016 material sees him dabble with Glitch.
His early music listening can be attributed to various styles of Metal, however he soon converted like a vegetarian when he heard the psytrance pioneering act 'Infected Mushroom'. His material from the start has been influenced by the prestigious duo. Other influences include Astrix, BLiSS, & Bubble.
His first full-length LP effort is a left-field Glitch concoction entitled 'One Step Away', containing 12 cuts in its 77:28 minute runtime, with one of these being an early standout in his discography, 'Diligo'. A more concise version of this record, 'One Step Ahead' would release exactly six years later in 2022. During the 2015 - 2016 period, AXIMETRIK released a plethora of Glitch EPs, notably 'Warriors' & 'Dawns & Winters'. His debut EP, 'Feast', recieved a revisit in 2020 with the creatively named 'Feast 2020'.
In 2019, Samuel's second LP, Alien Lifeform, is his first psytrance LP, drawing clear inspirations from Infected Mushroom. Sam would then release his third LP in 2021, 'Fabulous', a record dedicated to celebrating the birth of his son and mourning the passing of his father. Notable cuts are 'Memories' & 'Feel Fabulous'.
In 2023, Samuel would release his magnum opus, 'Lerna', a 136 minute multi-genre record with a focus on psytrance. It is Samuel's most competantly, most varied produced record to date, spanning his intricate production skills into 25 cuts, reaching all different vibes and genres. A heavy critically acclaimed record, Samuel then proceeded to win the 2023 Oscar for best electronic album of the year.
