The Sound of Urchin is a rock band from New York. Known for their relentless guitar riffs and solos and impressive drum work they have toured the United States with acts such as Ween. The band consists of Tomato (drums/lead vocals), Rev. B - ill (lead guitar/vocals), Seahag (guitar/vocals), and most recently Mikey Retard (bass).

To date they have four albums, a self titled debut, You are the Best, The Diamond, and most recently Rejoice. The Diamond met with some success and was carried at many major retailers including Sam Goody's. The band is currently on a Fall 2008 tour to promote the release of Rejoice.

Tomato is also involved in the group Moistboyz with Dean Ween.
