A soul-stirring celestial sound emerges whenever gospel vocalist Wayne Starks opens his mouth to sing his joyful praises to the Lord. From Minneapolis, MN, the young Starks is blessed with a chilling vocal tone and an incredible five-octave range. No one who witnesses his vocals can ever forget them.

Having a challenging upbringing in the Twin City, with negative forces surrounding him, Wayne did not succumb; instead, he concentrated on his music ministry to light his way out of the urban darkness.

Now signed to Destin2b1 Records, distributed by RED, Starks will see his determination and faith make his prayers come to fruition with the release of his first CD, “Believe,” in the Fall of 2010. The title track, “Believe,” is an inspirational testament to the power of holding on and believing in the Lord. On the song, Wayne is joined by Allegro Nevella, the sister of gospel royalty, Yolanda Adams.

With musical production by Floyd Thomas, the Musical Director for gospel great J. Moss, the CD also features other outstanding songs, such as the touching “Ruler,” which contains some of the most unbelievable vocals ever recorded; and the youthful, hopeful tune “Here To Win,” on which Wayne shares the mic with Alternative Rock sensation Ian Grindstaff and Urban Hip-Hop phenom Mike Stuckey.
