Denali Cooks came about when Larry Zarella(guitar /vocals) met Jim Sandy(Piano/vocals) at a campfire on the Nenana river just outside the boundries of Alaska's Denali National Park. Within days they were playing anywhere they could around the park and soon quit their day jobs as cooks. At first it was classic rock covers.Beatles, Dylan,CSNY,Bob Seager. Then Dave Woody(Guitar)sat in along with Harvey Mills(drums) and the Cooks were born. They quickly became Alaskas most popular festival band and unknowingly have paved the way for a lively and fresh music scene in Alaska. Read more on Last.fm.
