J-Red was introduced to hip hop like many other Aussie kids in the 80’s, beat street, local kids breaking etc. What set him aside was his awareness and total fascination with the complexities and technicalities surrounding the art. By age 16 he had scored his first dj job, spinning hip hop, funk and soul.

Since then J red has gone from strength to strength, from being the DJ in lyrical commission, hosting radio shows, running Melbourne’s longest standing hip hop night at the laundry, and all the way to headlining turntable competitions across Australia, this kid is for real.

J-Reds use of Thoughtful and smooth, rhythmic transitions build energetic vibes unlike any other and provides explosive performances where he combines rocking club gems with complex techniques, the perfect combination.
