This band is a tool that God uses to further his kingdom. We are not extraordinary people by any means, but we have an extraordinary task set in front of us. Spread the word of God in any way that glorifies him... so that's what we do!
In the Bible, Rahab was a prostitute. Don't let me lose you yet, there is a reason to this. Joshua sent spies from Israel into Jericho and they stayed at the house of Rahab. The king told her to let his soldiers have the spies, but she didn't. Instead she hid the two men so that they were able to go out later that night. These two spies were instrumental in the fall of Jericho. For Rahab's help, the spies told her to hang a red cord out of her window and the armies would spare her and her household from destruction. If it were not for Rahab, the king of Jericho would have caught the spies and as we all know... nothing good would've come from that.
This story goes to show that you are never to far away from God to be used for something amazing. Whether a prostitute or a preacher, God has a plan for your life.
