Who are The Long Losts?
Vocalist Anka and guitarist Pat met in 2008 and began The Long Losts in 2012. The first song they wrote together was a tribute to their favorite horror actor, a song entitled “If Only Boris Karloff Was My Dad.” This also became the title of their first EP released in October 2012. The song, a loving tribute to their favorite horror movie actor was also a reference to how Pat and Anka met in the first place. In 2008 Pat, who's arm is a tattoo tribute to Boris Karloff, including a portrait of Frankenstein's monster on his forearm, was introduced to Anka who on that night was wearing a tshirt with a picture of Frankenstein. For this reason alone they started talking. Their mutual love for classic horror movies and Anka’s playful taunt that she was only with Pat because of his horror movie collection would later inspire the song "I Love Him For His Horror Movies.” The long nights they spent together venturing around NYC lead to the song, "Glow In the Dark.”

Though they were made for each other Pat and Anka dated on and off till 2012 when during the longest break they had Anka decided to move to Prague. Pat fearing he would never see Anka again knew then he loved her and wanted to spend the rest of his nights with her. So 4 years after meeting her Pat proposed to Anka in the Sleepy Hollow cemetery on top of the highest hill they can find in front of a random grave marked Bishop. This experience became the song "At the Top of Bishops Grave,” and the story of two souls finally finding their way back to each other in the very end gave them their new band name, The Long Losts.

The following year The Long Losts released their 2nd EP "The Girl With the Haunted House Tattoo." The title track inspired by Anka's back tattoo tells the story of a young man drawn by the voice of a girl inside a mysterious old house. There he finds a new world, a new love and a new home. Anka's lifetime love of Lily Munster was the basis of their song, "To Be Like Lily," and her and Pat's mutual love of Autumn with all it's splendor inspired the song "October Country," a title lifted from the Ray Bradbury novel of the same name. The last song of the EP was tribute to Halloween and the movie Trick R Treat's seminal character Sam. A movie Pat and Anka make a tradition of watching every October.

Shortly after the release of "The Girl With the Haunted House Tattoo" Pat and Anka tied the knot. And on May 31st 2014, after two years of writing and recording The Long Losts played their first show at the Midnite Monster Hop at Otto's Shrunken Head in NYC.

On October 1st, 2014 after 2 years of writing and recording The Long Losts released their album, "Scary Songs To Play In the Dark," accompanied by their first video for their song, "To Be Like Lily."
