As a graduate of Tennessee State University, B-Phraze is the DJP's premier Hip-Hop artist. He has utilized his degree in mass communications by working for local TV stations, but never imagined that he would one day be broadcasting his rap skills.

At the age of 12 after watching the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air for the first time, B-Phraze began his rapping career after memorizing the shows theme song the same day. It wasn't until his junior year in college when B-Phraze began to take rap as a possible career option. That year, he ran for Mr. TSU and rapped for the talent portion of his show, in front of nearly 2,500 spectators. After graduation the B-Phraze came back home to Indiana where he and his cousin YPJ went to work putting out Mix CDs, and developing a fan base. Since then Phraze has wrote numerous songs, even more verses, performed at events nationwide and has proved to be consistent artist.

In 2005, he was a finalist in the Hip-Hop category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, for the song 2nd Letter. B-Phraze has landed his music on radio and TV airwaves as well as other media outlets.
