It was the late nineties and the decade had seen some definite highlights for the KGB.

The band had released "Call It What You Want", a cd of original songs written by Kevin and long time band
mate Jeff Coates.

The band had become regulars on the blues circuit in Quebec, appearing at festivals with established artists such as Powder Blues Band, Brian Lee, Buddy Guy, Colin James and the late great Jeff Healey.
Kevin won a Fender "Stevie Ray Vaughan" signature Stratocaster in a competition sponsored by CHOM
FM and judged by Quebec rocker Aldo Nova. The band had completed a successful tour of Europe, playing dates in Germany, France and Belgium.

So, the next logical step was of course to break up. Creative differences, artistic contrariety, call it what you want, the band was done. Jeff headed to the East Coast to perform solo and as part of the band Flat Fifth. Kevin joined the newly formed group "No Stress". It kept him busy, and the years flew by, but he yearned to return to his blues rock roots and longed to resurrect the KGB franchise with another cd of original songs he had been working on. Along with Julian Reusing on the drums, Marc-Andre Gouin on the bass, Christian Gagner on keyboards and a collection of talented friends and musicians from the area, they started recording the new album "Sow The Wind". Thus, the KGB is back in business and ready to take you on a blues rock road trip, right between the ditches with the dirty side down.

KEVIN GROVES - GUITAR - VOCALS
Growing up Kevin was influenced by all the usual
suspects: Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter,
Billy Gibbons and of course Stevie Ray Vaughan. A
veteran of the stage, his guitar has taken him across
Canada, into the US and Europe. He remains
passionate about honing his craft as a guitar player,
a singer and a song writer.

MARC-ANDRE GOUIN - BASS
Marc-Andre was born in 1979 and started
playing bass at age 7. As a teenager, he spent
countless hours practicing the bass and began playing
live gigs at 15 years old. Although he has experimented
with many different musical styles, he always was
attracted by blues and rock music. With over a
thousand live performances in the last decade,
he is more passionate than ever about playing and
perfecting his instrument.

JULIAN REUSING - DRUMS
Julian was born in 1970 and has been playing
drums since the age of 15. He has worked on countless
musical projects over the years and has had the chance
to work with and be taught by some of the world's
best drummers! Today Julian is a well seasoned drummer
specializing in a difficult poly rhythmic approach to
the drums. Julian has made a commitment to spend
countless hours in his recording studio playing, recording,
editing and producing music of so many different
styles for so many different people. Having worked
with some of the world’s best musicians, his style is
heavily influenced by them but is without a doubt
unique and his own.

CHRISTIAN GAGNER - KEYBOARDS
Equaly devoted to his "keys" and his saxophone,
Christian joins us at the end of a long and diversified
musical journey. From leading his own bigband at the age
of 16, to concerts with the Sherbrooke Symphony, he
has, over the last 25 years, been collaborating with
numerous rock'n roll, jazz, RnB, pop, top 40,
and Salsa groups as well as performing as a solo pianist.
In the last decade, his accompaning skills have been called
upon by former members of the Platters, the
Lettermen and the Commodores. A regular member of
KGB in the early 90's, Christian has also been active on
the blues scene, performing with such legends as Bo
Diddley and Dutch Mason. This project finds him happily
returning to the instrument on which his journey began,
the organ. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
