Adrenalina Caribe is a Venezuelan musical group that formed in 1979 in Caracas, known for its fusion of Latin, tropical, rock, funk, jazz, and other Afro-Caribbean styles.

Under the leadership of Evio Di Marzo, the band emerged following the dissolution of the group Sietecuero. It brought together notable musicians—including Ilan Chester (keyboards), Alberto Borregales (timbales & percussion), Orlando Poleo (congas & percussion), Sergio Pérez (violin), Carlos Pucci (bass & vocals), Rodolfo Reyes (saxophone), Roldán Peña (electric guitar), Ezequiel Serrano (sax & flute), and others.

The band’s sound was often described as unclassifiable. Evio Di Marzo characterized it as: “Adrenalina was not salsa, not rock, not pop, not jazz … it was adrenaline.” Their music blended diverse genres in a way that felt both experimental and distinctly Venezuelan urban.

Adrenalina Caribe enjoyed considerable success in the 1980s, releasing four albums under Venezuelan labels:

Adrenalina Caribe’s legacy persists in Venezuelan music. Their experimental fusion and powerful performances remain influential and celebrated decades later.

In recent years, the group has seen a revival led by Evio Di Marzo’s son, Chenzo Di Marzo.
