Tom Evans (5 June 1947 – 19 November 1983) was an English musician best known for his work as the bassist of the band Badfinger. He co-wrote their 1970 song "Without You," which has been recorded by over 180 artists — most notably Harry Nilsson and Mariah Carey.

Evans joined the band in 1967 when the band was still under the name The Iveys. He would remain with the band until their breakup after the death of Pete Ham in 1975. Evans would reunite with Joey Molland after being invited to join a reformed Badfinger in 1978, performing on two albums released between 1979 and 1981.

Molland and Evans would split up and perform under their own versions of Badfinger in 1982. Shortly before his death, Evans would get into an argument with Molland over songwriting royalties over the Badfinger song 'Without You', which Molland and other personnel involved wanted a share of.

Evans died from suicide by hanging on 19 November 1983, one of two Badfinger members to do so (the first being Pete Ham in 1975). He was the sole member of Badfinger to play on every studio album.
