There are at least two artists/groups called Big Gee.

1. Big Gee (real name Tugsjargal Munkherdene) is Mongolian hip hop/rap artist from Ulaanbaatar. He wasn't born in Ulaanbaatar, but moved there in 1995 and grew up there. Gee started rapping in 1998, when he was just barely a teenager. He grew up in Ulaanbaatar's sprawling Ger District (home to about 2/3 of the city’s population). As the son of a single mother in one of the city’s poorer neighborhoods, Gee says that he needed a way to express himself. He first started writing poetry, but after acquiring a cassette tape of various rappers (Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and The Sugarhill Gang), he thought he'd try and merge his poetry with beats.

Gee released his first album Боловсролгуй сэхээтний тавигдахгуй илтгэл in 2005, but it was his appearance in a 2004 song and video called Hood by well-known hip-hop group Vanquish that started turning heads. Hood showcases four rappers and their crews who each introduce themselves and rap in turn about their neighborhoods in UB. At the time, Gee was the first person to rap about the Ger District, and his pride in his neighborhood and gangsta style made him stand out among Mongolia's rappers.
He raps about politics and the situation that he and his neighbors live in - a world of no running water, no sewerage and temperamental electricity.

2. Just because the first time that you witnessed Big Gee’s mean-mugging scowl was holding down one-fourth of Boyz-N-Da-Hood video for “Dem Boyz,” don’t think that the A-town trap star is new to the rap game. Serving neighborhood hip hop fiends across Atlanta with hard-edged street anthems and gritty Down South production, Gee has been moving underground rhymes like weight since hooking up with label CEO Russell “Block” Spencer almost eight years ago.

Now after claiming nationwide respect alongside BNDH with their self-titled 2005 Block Entertainment/ Bad Boy South hood classic and forthcoming follow-up album "Back Up N Da Chevy", Big Gee rides for self with the Spring 07 release of his major label solo debut "Live From the 13th Floor".

“I am Atlanta, and my music is Atlanta music. That’s all I know,” says Gee. “I been Atlanta since before they tore all the projects down. I been Atlanta since Wayne Williams was snatching up kids. I was one of those kids running from him. I am Atlanta, and that’s what I represent.” Read more on Last.fm.
