Based out of Westchester, NY, Go For Launch™ delivers a unique style of Rock, accented with a spectrum of other genres including Jazz, Pop, Progressive, and Motown. This fusion of styles is complimented by instrumental and vocal melodies that continue to resonate in the mind long after hearing them. At the core, five musicians have a passion of writing music that challenges the ear and themselves.

Having worked together in prior projects, guitarists, Nick Bilancia and Anthony Mauriello, bassist, Derek Ortiz, and vocalist, Scott Griffin, were no strangers to the stylistic limitations implied by a defining genre. In mid-2009, they set out to form a band that would no longer base their musical direction on a single set of influences. With the addition of Michael Argondizza on drums, Go For Launch’s lineup was solidified. In early 2010, the band recorded and released a self-titled EP, which established a groove-based Rock sound and showcased their initial intentions.

In 2011, they teamed up with renowned engineer/producer, John Naclerio (My Chemical Romance, Senses Fail, Brand New), and producer Tom Grin (Fear Nuttin Band, Jacobi Wichita) to record their first full length record, Frequency Change, which is set to release in March 2012. With the collaborative efforts of Grin and Naclerio, the band added a more powerful element to the mix, while preserving their foundation and groove.

Known for their high-energy live performances, Go For Launch has shared the stage with Ballyhoo!, Fear Nuttin Band, The Ataris, DJ Louis Logic, 40oz to Freedom and Ska legends The Slackers and The Toasters. Having performed throughout the Northeast, they have made a name for themselves at venues such as, Gramercy Theater, The Bitter End, The Crazy Donkey, Ollie’s Point, National Underground, Arlene’s Grocery, and Crash Mansion.

Never losing sight of their original goal, Go For Launch continues to create an ever-evolving sound, seamlessly weaving new influences and sing-along hooks designed to move crowds and keep them coming back for more.
