David Downes was born in 1967 in Wellington, New Zealand. Compositions include theatre/film scores, orchestral and electroacoustic pieces and a number of contemporary dance scores. CD releases include Saltwater and The Rusted Wheel of Things. Of interest also is his 2004 animated short film Generation.
