There are several artists/bands under this name:

1) FAUX is originaly a New Zealand artist who is now living in London. FAUX is Gareth Faull, who has in the past been involved with the Shocking Pinks, been called 'Forbidden Monkey' and was a forming member of the experimental band 'Device'.

2) Faux is also an alternative rock band from Finland http://www.myspace.com/thfx

3) Faux (note the lack of capital letters on the a, u and x) making dark industrialish music.

4) Faux from Moscow plays melodic metalcore.
Their debute EP is coming in 2011.
