1. FAM, also known as F.A.M. (an abbreviation for Furor Arma Ministrat), is a grindcore band from Wrocław, Poland. They formed in 2005 and have remained active in the extreme metal scene ever since. The current lineup includes Chorzo on vocals, Nelek on guitar, Armagog on bass, and Młody on drums and backing vocals. Młody is the only remaining original member of the band, having co-founded it alongside Stoker, both members of the band DISSENTER. Throughout their career, FAM has undergone several lineup changes.
FAM's debut release, an EP titled Panzergrind, was recorded in 2006 at Hellsound Studio. Following this, their first full-length album, Bullet(in), came out in 2007, recorded at JM Recordings. The album was released through Scrotum Jus Records, a Singapore-based label. Around this time, FAM began to establish their presence on the touring circuit, playing in festivals such as Obscene Extreme Festival, a well-known grindcore and extreme music festival.
In 2013, FAM participated in a split release with bands Nuclear Vomit and Grindbashers, titled Radical Circus Team, which was released through Let It Bleed Records. Their next major project came in the form of their second full-length album, Human Cargo, released in 2016 through Deformeathing Production. This album, which includes 14 tracks blending elements of death metal and grindcore.
The band's third album, Fascinated About Mortality, was released in December 2019. The album contains 10 tracks and features guest vocals by Mats Funderud from KRAANIUM. FAM continues to tour actively, performing in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany, while making appearances at festivals like Nice To Eat You Death Fest and Obscene Extreme Festival.
