Amish Noise was originally a one man sound machine. The beginnings of Amish Noise stretch as far back as 1998, doing bedroom recordings in Lockport, NY with a friend using only a microphone, a bass, a casio keyboard and some effects pedals all recorded on a boombox. Upon leaving town, Reverend Bearded Amish began to experiment with bedroom 4 track recordings ultimately leading to the 2002 demo. With a 48 hour a week job and no free time it made it hard to do anything significant until Reverend Bearded Amish started '9 volt gimmick' in boston with 2 other individuals (then finally a drummer). This band lasted about a year until the drummer disappeared and Reverend Bearded Amish moved to albuquerque where he continued to churn out Amish Noise recordings, with some serious drum machine skills after purchasing a DR-670 before leaving boston.
After some failed attempts at starting another band, The Bearded Amish joined albuquerque punk godfathers, Beefcake in Chains. First as a drummer, then as a 2nd lead vocalist and finally as 2nd lead vocalist AND rhythm guitarist. Many shows were played and plenty of great times were had, even had a few solo Amish Noise shows and a small tour in the fall of '07.
Returning to his home area of Western New York, Amish Noise reformed as a 3 piece with a new guitarist and a faceless screamer/shrieker to create a new era in the world of the Amish. After about 6 months, EZ Kill Manchew was recruited by the Reverend to play human drums, thus making Amish Noise the 4 piece. tons of shows and 2 studio EPs later and the 4 piece is back down to 1 again.
