There is more than one band called DUMPSTER.


1. Before Dumpster began, Willis and Barney started a band called Sindican around 1988-1989. Their music ability grew as the line-up kept changing for the better. Brian Broox was in Mind of Hate when he was asked to front Sindican. Wes had played in Pugilence but was taking a break from music when he joined in. He originally played guitar but switched to bass forming a more solid sound. With this line-up there was such a vibe that they felt it was time to change the name to DUMPSTER. In 1995 they recorded a cassette demo titled HOTDOGPUSHCART on their non-label Roach Records. During this time they were creating a buzz for the hard rock scene in their hometown of Fort Worth, Texas. Dumpster self released BIG CHROME BULLDOG in 1996. They had many memorable performances sharing the stage with well respected bands. Willis moved away leaving the band with a big hole to fill. Dumpster went through a few line-up changes before realizing that Willis was irreplaceable. There was a handful of new songs that never were recorded. Wes went on to play with Archie Bunker. Barney joined Labrabbit in 1998 and released a self titled EP. Both bands split up as Barney formed Dirt Merchant with Archie Bunker guitarist Kevin and former bandmate Wes. They released The Red Eye Induction in 2001. Wes quit Dirt Merchant. Willis took his place and Dirt Merchant released Bad News Travels Fast in 2005. Barney is also currently in Four Days To Burn with former Labrabbit bandmate Jeremy. Four Days To Burn has a 2006 self titled 7" vinyl on DaDa Drumming and a 7 song cd is expected late 2008.

2. The other band called dumpster is a Brisbane based christian band who put out a few cds, most notably "Ski-Fi" in 2002 and "See Through Me" in 1998. Their sound resembles the early foo fighter sound. The best known song is "Cravin' Mild"... which recieved radio airplay after it was released. Read more on Last.fm.
