Vanya are a three piece electronic- guitar band from West Cumbria. Formed in 2009 and heavily influenced by the likes of Radiohead, Joy Division, Nirvana, Sasha, Digweed and DJ Shadow, they have a distinctive yet fresh sound, blending powerful guitars and synths with simple melodys and electronic beats.

Lead singer and guitarist Shaun McLoughlin, formally of Workington band My Silo, is renowned for his inventive song writing and powerful vocals. He is joined on bass by Kris Bell, a bassist who combines intense bass lines with melodic precision and formally played for Carlisle band Chapel Ten.

Backing them up on guitar, synths and drum programming is Ryan Stanger, also known as DJ and Producer James Ryan. Hes warmed up for the likes of Paul Oakenfold, James Talk, King Unique & Jo Mills and has had several of his own productions & remixes released. Read more on Last.fm.
