Members of Tree Motel Lindsey Mackin and Mark Williams formed Annabelle Chairlegs when they relocated to Austin from their home base of Santa Fe, NM. The band incorporates punk, scuzz rock, and psychedelia into their sound to back up Lindsey's lyrics, whose topics range from ladies in heaven talking to ladies in hell (Lady In Heaven), prostitutes (Street Urchins), river sirens (Passaic River), disgruntled goths (All Black In The Sun), and songs about stomping out the pegs on a ladder just to see your enemies fall (On The Ladder).
Lead singer and guitarist Lindsey's head spins and simple-yet-surprisingly-effective guitar playing are a sight to behold. The current line-up includes veteran guitarist Matt Schweinberg (of locals, Schwein!) and bassist and solo-artist-in-his-own-right, Derek Von Nunez Strahan. Watch out for this band - they'll corner you in an alley and rob you blind of your senses.
