A native of Derry, Conor Doherty studied music and ethnomusicology at University College Cork and Goldsmiths, University of London.
Following a three-year period of study in Pakistan researching Sufi trance drumming, Conor returned to the UK to take up a teaching post at the renowned Brit School.
An exceptional guitarist and singer, Conor simultaneously returned to his first musical love, performing hand-picked traditional and contemporary folk songs from England, Ireland and America, penned by some of the genre's finest songsmiths.
Citing influences that range from Dick Gaughan, Tony Rose and Nic Jones to Crosby, Still and Nash, and Joni Mitchell, Conor's impeccable musicianship looks set to make an indelible impression on a resurgent UK folk scene.

His keenly awaited debut album arrives in the spring.
