Victor Brox Blues Train was a British blues band led by Victor Brox. At one point the band featured Jeff Walters (Tenor Sax/Flute), Annette Reis (vocals), Victor Brox (Vocals/Organ/Flugel), "Tosh" Ryan (AltoSax), John Dickinson (Guitar), Bruce Mitchell (Drums), and Nigel Taylor (Bass).

A Manchester blues legend, Victor Brox ((5 May 1941 – 20 February 2023) was a musical virtuoso who, as well as playing keyboards and singing, played brass and guitar. He was one of Britain's great blues vocalists, ranking alongside the likes of Chris Youlden, Joe Cocker and Steve Marriot at their best. This was endorsed by Jimi Hendrix who was a great fan - jamming and playing with him and The Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation on many occasions in London and New York.

Brox studied under a variety of blues pioneers such as Big Bill Broonzy, Bo Diddley, Brownie McGhee, Sonny Boy Williamson, Little Walter, Screaming Jay Hawkins, and played with B.B King, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Muddy Waters, Big Bill Bronzy, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Ritchie Blackmore and Ian Gillian of Deep Purple, Charlie Mingus, Noel Redding of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Memphis Slim, Dr. John, Keith Moon of The Who, Alexis Korner, Bill Coleman, Lord David Sutch, Tete Montelieu, T.T.Swanston, John Mayall, Graham Bond, Country Joe McDonald, Keith Moon, Marzette Watts, Sun Ra and Nico, Mick Jagger, Pink Floyd, Rory Gallagher, Marc Bolan.

In the late 1960s, Brox was the frontman of Th Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation and also appeared as member of many blues outfits or as guest on several blues albums (vocals and sometimes keyboards). He created the Victor Brox Blues Train (originally formed way back in the 60s with Annette Reis, his wife).

In 1970 Brox performed as Caiaphas on the original recording of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. Victor frequently appeared alongside his highly talented wife Annette Brox (vocals & percussion) and later sang with his daughters Kyla, Buffy and Anna. Kyla now has her own highly rated blues band. Sam Brox, his son sings and plays with his own band in Denmark.

"Blues music has given me greater pleasure than I could ever have imagined all those years ago. I've met and played with hundreds of fine musicians and have made many friends. I love the music and just want to go on playing it..."
