What is Shaddy?

Blue Shaddy are an independent, unsigned band which began its humble existence in the small town of Kellerberrin in Western Australia's wheatbelt back in 1989. Where wheat, sheep, and flies are plentiful, and surprisingly enough for a small country town, it was also home to a number of working musicians, with whom Jim (founder of Blue Shaddy) began gigging regularly at the age of 17.

After several hundred gigs of cabaret and old time rock'n roll Jim was well honed and ready to take on the country with something of his own, and so enters Belly the man with the metal sandwich. Born, bred and brainwashed together with the same musical vision these two brothers began what is now an inseparable recipe that really does cook well. Throw in Sandy ( a long time friend and country neighbour) on Bass guitar, a relocation to Perth W.A, a fortunate meeting with Arun on drums, and there you have what is now the Blue Shaddy Band.
