A melodic, lyrical composer and performer, Rob Mosher is as a musician well versed in the Jazz and Classical worlds, and is a proven creator in furthering the growth and combination of the two. Specializing on oboe, English horn and soprano sax adds to the uniqueness of his voice and displays his commitment to this principle.

As a composer and bandleader, Rob’s numerous and varied ensembles further demonstrate a blending and furthering the Jazz and Classical genres, including his 10-piece ensemble “Storytime”; a String Quartet where his soprano sax replaces the 2nd violin; Soprano/Soprano, a soprano sax and operatic soprano duo; and a jazz quartet.

Canadian born and raised, Rob has shifted base to New York City since 2004 where he is active as a leader and sideman.

Rob released his debut CD “Storytime – The Tortoise” in September 2008. Future plans include a CD of Concertos for his Storytime ensemble featuring violin, cello, tuba, banjo, classical piano and operatic baritone. Read more on Last.fm.
