La Mancha del Jardín was one of the premier bands in the mid nineties rock scene in Puerto Rico. It counted with some wind instruments that gave them quite an interesting sound. The influences of the mexican rock scene was very obvious such as Fobia, Maldita Vecindad and Caifanes. With their first Demo "El Cassette" by early 1994, which got a hold of a lot of people for free, they made a name for themselves and became sort of an icon for many people. They might have not been the best musicians at the moment, but what they did, they did with passion. Two years later they released their first CD called "Karnaval" in late 1996. They created a bigger fan base with it,and soon after that, they broke up for artistic differences or so we are told. Some of the members went on to other bands such as Icaro Azul, Los Inconformes, and the lead singer formed Josean Divan & La Pena Capital. In the early 2000's the singer re-formed the group as a trio and released a CD on his own. After that the band dissapeared once again. Read more on Last.fm.
