Slow Goodbye Lyrics

I can read the lines
On your face
And they're telling me
Everything I already know
Yeah I hold you in my arm
But your light-years away from me
Slowly sinking Under alone
Yeah So I act cool On the outside
But it's eating me Alive

Cuz when it comes to you
There's nothing I can do I can't make you love me
When you don' I see it in your eyes
All the compromise
I can't take another second
Slow goodbye

Sitting in the park
After dark
Smoking cigarettes
Biting on the black of my nails
Cuz all I ever wanted
Was what you took away from me
Trying to make it right
But it's too late I'm a hopeless case
On the inside
And it's eating me Alive

Cuz when it comes to you
There's nothing I can do I can't make you love me
When you don' I see it in your eyes
All the compromise
I can't take another second
Slow goodbye

I die A million times
Every time when you Look me in the eye
I Die Cuz I've heard it all before.
The same game
Going around and around
But I still end up with nothing But hurting

Cuz when it comes to you
There's nothing I can do I can't make you love me
When you don' I see it in your eyes
All the compromise I can't take another second
Slow goodbye
Yeah There's nothing I can do I can't make you love me
When you don' I see it in your eyes
All the compromise I can't take another second
Slow goodbye

A songwriter, guitarist and singer with a powerhouse voice that belies her years, Lesley Roy grew up in Balbriggan, County Dublin, Ireland. Her mother was a gigging singer, so Roy was exposed early to the life of a musician. She started playing guitar at the age of seven, finally getting her own guitar at 11 years old, and began writing songs. When she was 15, Roy started recording demos of her material with local producer and musician Rory O'Connor, and eventually signed a deal with Glenn Herlihy's independent Religion Music label. Roy's considerable talent and potential caught the attention of Jeff Foster at Jive Records, and the two labels agreed to foot the bill jointly for Roy's first album project. A single, "There'll Be Angels," was released early in 2008, followed by the album proper, Unbeautiful, in the spring of 2008.

As a songwriter Roy has experienced international success with releases for artists including Adam Lambert, Miss Montreal, Medina, Jana Kramer, and Marlee Scott.
