Destructoid is one of the largest independent gaming communities online, owned and operated by hardcore gamers across the US and UK. Destructoid began as a blogger's prank to get into the E3 conference. Today (as of 03/16/2006) the company employs 36 freelancers, reaching over 2.5 million unique visitors a month.
