Formed in 2006 and based in the East of the UK the original lineup of four band members, Steve, Bunge, Garry and Luke had a common interest to create ‘a sound’. Heavily influenced by the bands of the punk, metal and grunge from the mid 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s, the band’s style can be described as new wave garage punk, honest but unconventional.

Some of their diverse influences include: Dead Kennedy’s - Stick Men with Ray Guns - 13th Floor Elevators - Joy Division - Lydia Lunch - The Sonics - Link Wray - Black Sabbath - Townes Van Zandt - Sonic Youth - The Melvins - The Replacements - Johnny Cash - Hüsker Dü - Richard Hell - The Wedding Present - Pixies - Dinosaur Jnr - The Stranglers - Black Flag - The Fall - Buzzcocks - Television - Wire.

Initially making a big impact on the local music scene the band have played a wealth of dates including London and further a field in Europe. They have played various smaller UK festivals and live sessions such as the BBC Introducing, a showcase for recognising and Broadcasting the best of unsigned talent. A European tour is planned for 2010.

Following earlier releases of their first demo ‘Bitterzoet’ in 2007, Second demo ‘For The Wasted Youth’ in 2008 the band released a studio recorded debut 7” vinyl single ‘I Don’t know About That!/Psyclone Cities’ on their homegrown record label ‘Pint ‘a’ Bread Records’. 2010 will see the release of a new E.P, video and low key Podcasts.

Described as progressive, aggressive and vociferous, the typically short songs are heavy and infectious. Curious musical arrangements are spattered with heavy fuzz guitar, fast Indie licks, clean heavy bass and pounding drums. They coagulate together with aggressive growling vocals, typical in some ways of most garage bands but with a heavier sound influenced by Punk and Metal. Primitive lyrics (often derived from poetry/film or literature) always leave the audience intrigued and wanting more. If you heard one of their tracks, you’d want to know exactly who it was.

A refreshing lack of arrogance and genuine desire to create something good, something a bit different, ever-changing but durable is simply encapsulated in their statement “we just wanted to make the sort of thing we wanted to hear. No-one else was so we thought we’d give it a go”.
