She released her debut album Brettina in March 2010 to critical acclaim. Her main influences are Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughan, and Shirley Horn.

She is a Bahamian born jazz singer-songwriter, model, and now lives in metropolitan Los Angeles. She began singing at age four, under the influence of her gospel-singer mother Leona Coakley Spring and musician uncles of T-Connection. She relocated to the US, returning to the Bahamas during her school years where she won the 'Miss Talented Teen' competition She earned a scholarship to University of Washington. She continues to flourish in two very distinct cultures, both of which have shaped her music and evolution into the artist she is today.
