There are at least two artists/bands known as The Monads.

The Monads are a "philosophy band" formed at Western Washington University by Kris McDaniel (now philosophy professor at Syracuse University), Shawn Larsen-Bright, and Justin Klocksiem. They played philosophy-themed songs referencing temporal parts, David Hume, and modal realism, among other things.
