John Carrie is an Irish singer/songwriter, based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

He released an EP (Release, 2004) and two full-length albums (2007's Folk Is Not Happy and 2010's Clearing Air) with his backin band, Moor Green. See: John Carrie and Moor Green.

2012 saw the release of his solo début LP, Shy Away.

Carrie's work has been compared to Ben Christophers, Jeff Buckley, The Prayer Boat, Neil Young and others.
