alpha seven is an ambient music project steered (randomly) by Pete Roberts, which kicked off around 1993 when Pete started doing some unusual DJ/ambient installations with DJ Merkin at The Waterfront in Norwich. Why the name? Well - it's the name of Barbarella's spaceship and a CD player Pete had at a the time.
