Tommy Carl Taylor is an “electronic musician”, “audio-visual conceptual artist” and Software Developer. He has a B.A. from the College of Charleston. Mr. Taylor has been exploring the integration of music technology and the visual arts for the last 10 years. He is currently employed by the Advanced Technology Institute part of the South Carolina Research Authority, where his duties include the advancement and development of new technologies for the South Carolina economy.

Mr. Taylor has Department of the Navy Credentials’ in optical instruments and electro-mechanical devices. His skills were first developed and crafted at various shipyards for the Department of the Navy. Later he took these skills to the Marshall Islands to further develop devices for MIT/Lincoln Labs and the Strategic Defense Initiative. While in the Marshall Islands, he became interested in software development once he saw the integration of computer programming. With strong computer graphics, this eventually led to the exploration between visual media, music technology and computer science.
