1. Daniel Smith is a post-modern musician under the IAM independent label. His music is a mix of the Semantic Web and User Interfaces in the domain of combining heterogeneous data sources. As one of the original lead composers of the mSpace framework, Daniel has experience in creating new Semantic Web Interfaces. Daniel has also created the mSpace API to combine the metadata from multiple research dissemination systems, using the EPrints Institutional Archive software and mSpace.

2. Daniel Smith is the singer and leading force behind Christian indie rock group Danielson.

3. Daniel Smith is a classical and jazz bassoon player, who has recently released two albums – Blue Bassoon and Bassoon Goes Latin Jazz - that attempt to make the bassoon a more widely accepted instrument in the jazz realm.
